Here is the outfit that started it all:
After posting my first outfit I began to learn about the community of Fashion blogging. A debt of gratitude is owed.
Sites such as:
Independent Fashion Bloggers > join this site and read the articles
Grit and Glamour > awesome tips on blogging plus fabulous style
Beautifully Invisible > Another great site for aspiring bloggers
Vogue Gone Rogue > fashion blog readers want great images. Kristy Elena inspired me. Her images are ethereal.
The Loudmouth > Stephanie keeps it real. She exemplifies letting your personality shine through your posts. Plus I met her in person at the Style Nation Meetup in Las Vegas.
I have learned so much from the aforementioned bloggers and many others, I wouldn't be still blogging today without them. They have made me better. Their friendship enriches my blogging experience. They have kept me going when I considered quitting.
Another important aspect of being a blogger is commenting. It warms my heart and makes my day to receive comments on my posts. Several times comments on a post validated for me that I am not wasting my time and someone DOES care about what I have to say.
It is equally or more important even that you leave these little breadcrumbs of love for blogs that you visit. Not visiting any other blogs? Well, get busy! Visit others as often as time allows and leave genuine encouraging comments for others. It makes their day and in turn adds to your own. Often, leaving a comment will garner a comment from them to you.
Remember, Mom always said if you have nothing nice to say, say NOTHING. I follow this rule without fail. Negative vibes (comments) are a turn off.
If you are a new blogger these are the links I recommend to learn the most about making your blog shine and being a great blogger.

Please see the Fashion Friends page for additional blogs that I love. All of the bloggers behind these sites have had a hand in forming the face of Fashion RECON and enriching my blogger experience.
Extra special THANK YOU to Fabienne of House in the Clouds. She lent a hand during my blog redesign in February that made all the difference in the world. She is a complete GEM and I love her.
I must also mention my Fashion Sister Tiffany.
She has been there for me and with me from the start of this blog. She took my first outfit photos and constantly encourages and inspires me. Without her, this blog would not exist as it is today.
Thank you Tiffany > for putting up with my photo obsession, shopping obsession and being my right hand in all things fashion related. She has been with me on photo shoots, posed for me and propped me up. Tiffany keeps me sane.
The other interesting news is that last night my son started his own blog (inspired by me) to write reviews and do battle reports on XBOX 360 games. I know this is in no way fashion related but it is Fashion RECON related as he never would have thought to start a blog otherwise. He also joined Twitter and Klout!
He is just starting out and I have bombarded him with information. Poor kid! At least he has a source of information for growing his blog and being a courteous blogger.
Coming this week:
