Fashion Sisters About Town Part 2: Colorful Hairpiece Review

Today's post has been written by my Fashion Sister Tiffany. It is her first time composing a post for Fashion RECON and I am so happy to share it with you all. First I want to share the photos of our outfits that day.
We chose another tree for our photos. This one was so vibrant we couldn't resist.

I love Tiff's olive skinny cargos and the red shoes. Red and olive are great to pair together.
I was feeling rather kittenish so leopard print dominated my outfit by accessories. I love hats!! In fall and winter I wear them often.

Now for Tiffany's review:

I have been wanting for a very long time to do a intense color streak
in my hair for over a year. With the dark shade of my hair and all
the processes that I would have to endure to get the color I wanted
meant quite a bit of damage to that section of hair. I could never
bring myself to just bite the bullet and do it.
While on vacation in Boston this past summer my friend Katie and I
were at a market type shopping center called Haymarket. While there
we came across a vendor who sold those beautifully jeweled hair combs
and clips and among his wares I found very colorful hair pieces that
would just clip in my hair and they had the color I longed to do to my
hair.

Although it was synthetic I decided to purchase it. I
immediately put it in my hair and off we went about out day.

We had a whale watch scheduled for that day and that included a high
speed catamaran ride that lasted over an hour to get to the feeding
grounds the whales were known to frequent. I had the hair piece in
the entire time and it didn't move an inch so I felt it was money well
spent, about $12.00.

As time wore on and I had a chance to wear it again i decided that the
blunt cut just didn't blend into my hair as naturally as I wanted so I
attempted to "fade" the ends into something that looked more natural.
It looked better but just not perfect and in no way kept me from
wearing it. Now considering this was a synthetic hair piece I was not
able to style it with any heat products of any kind in hopes to make
it look even more natural.

The next time I went to wear the piece, the comb that kept the piece
in my hair had broken as well as my heart.

On my fashion soul sister and mine weekend shopping excursion on
Saturday we happened into the Ulta store here in town and while she
went her way to get what she needed, I wandered the store and upon my
wanderings I came across the hair extension section of the store and
low-and-behold I see colorful pieces. I found a hair piece by Hair
Wear:

I looked them over and found out the were made with
REAL hair! That means I could curl or straighten them on low settings
with my styling products. Huge plus!! I was able to take out a piece
to inspect and found that they had a faded cut, meaning they would
blend into my hair very naturally. Plus, Plus. Now looking closer at
the package, I discovered they were only $8.99 each!! Plus, Plus,
Plus and SOLD!!!! So instead of purchasing just one color, I purchase
two of the many colors they had.

Yvonne and I again decided to venture out into the shopping world on
Sunday and I decided to wear the green hair piece.

It was every easy to put in my hair and it blended perfectly! I must say, I am in LOVE
with these! I plan on purchasing other colors in the near future and
I can't wait to wear the ones I have again.

I hope you all enjoyed Tiffany's hairpiece review.
Have a fashionable weekend.
