Monday Mashup: Shopping for Deals

The weather was too cold for anyone to convince me to work in the garden this weekend. If it is under 45F, I will not be digging in the dirt! Instead, Tiffany and I headed out to do some shopping. We felt like we hadn't shopped in quite a while. Saturday we hit a couple of our favorite thrift stores close to home, then we headed to the mall.
She wanted to go to Arden B so we went to the other mall across the river. They were having a great sale. I picked up a fantastic long cardigan for $15.

I fell in total love with this and it was the last one in the store. It was marked as a Large, but I bought it anyway after trying it on.

At the first thrift store, Thrift for Life, I lucked into a pair of brown suede pants. Moda International is the brand and they are in excellent shape.
Total cost: $1
Next we headed across the street to the Hope Thrift store. Here we had good luck too. Tiffany found a cute grey sweaterdress for $5. I purchased a pair of striped pants and a DKNY sweater. Total spent by me: $8 I will be posting this outfit later this week.

We made out like bandits at the Arden B. In addition to the awesome cardigan I also found a multi-tonal brown sweaterdress for $20.

Tiffany was the big spender in Arden B. She bought an absolutely beautiful fur vest for $20 and a really cool black coat for $20. She also got these leggings:

Sunday we decided would be our day to shoe shop. We went to the DSW and were both very disappointed with the offerings there. Nothing struck our fancy at all. We were in and out of DSW in 30 minutes flat. That NEVER happens! Tiffany tried on 2 shoes and I tried on 3; then we left empty-handed.
Then we headed off to Saxon Shoes. They were having a BIG sale. Immediately, I found a shoe I wanted badly.

Are these beautiful or what? I was willing to lay down the cash to own them. Unfortunately, Saxons only had them available in a size 6 1/2!! Damn my luck! When I got home I searched online for it and no one has my size.
After Saxons we decided to do a quick photo shoot.
What Tiffany wore to shop:

Purple satin blazer, white skinny jeans

BCBG black pumps

Black chains and pearl strands, feather earrings
My shopping outfit:
Limited red turtleneck, BCBG python print leggings, Kelly&Katie boots

Cardigan from ArdenB. I love the fur trim detail and the ruffled edge

The cuffs are open enough to hide my hands when it is cold!

Then we went to the other side of the mall to Dilliards to check their shoe department. Another disappointment. Neither of us saw anything worth buying there either. We must be in a winter slump right now. I hope that is what it is anyway.
Saturday we got great deals and Sunday was a bust, but at least we got to hang out together.
