Sunday, Fashion Sister Tiffany and I headed out to our local DSW to see what was in store for Spring Shoes. We are very pleasantly surprised with the selection we found.
We were greeted by this bright pink slingback peep toe from Guess upon entering the store. Instantly, we knew it was going to be a good Shoesday. I fell immediately in love with this shoe. I have been coveting some pink shoes for a while now. I haven't purchased it yet, but it is on my wish list for sure.
"Oh Shit!" quickly became our phrase of the day as we continued through the store finding shoe after shoe which cried out to go home with us. I left my regular camera at home, but my Blackberry stood up to the task of capturing the delights on the shelves.
We always start in the Clearance section and this Mia shoe caught our fancy. We loved the color, the patent shine and the thick heel.
While we're looking at the Mia shoe, let's also take a moment to discuss this Jessica Simpson boot Tiffany is wearing. Is that not a fantastic boot? Tiffany bought the Jessica Simpson boot at Saxon Shoes on sale. Women were swooning in the store over her boots.
This little Guess sandal combines three of my favorite things: black patent, red patent and leopard. Need I say more? Oh yes, it is on clearance for 40% off.
This shoe just screams "fun" and we loved the combination of flirty floral with leopard and snakeskin.
We really liked this shoe. Our local DSW only had it in Tiffany's size but it made her little toe curl under so wasn't comfortable enough for her to purchase.
Jessica Simpson really hit the ball out of the park for Spring. We like the colors, the heel height and the platform.
We couldn't decide which version of the shoe we liked best.
BCBG also had several styles of shoes we really liked. The colors in this photo don't do the shoe justice. The heel is royal blue, the front swoosh is aqua and the other piece of the platform is a deep purple with the black.
Color is definitely king this season. Colorblocking is still big.
I really liked the watercolor print of this shoe. It is fabric except for the heel. It reminded me of what Monet would do had he been a shoe designer.
Don't let her expression fool you, Tiffany and I both liked the bright yellow, pink and blue of this shoe. She didn't know I was including her in the photo, but I really wanted to share her outfit with you. I love the way she draped this fringed scarf around her turtleneck and safari shirt jacket.
It has occurred to me while composing this post how many Guess shoes we like. Again, pink with a great heel. Go colorful ladies!
I beleive this is a Carlos Santana sandal. We liked the mix of fabric with leather and the colors used. The little hardware details caught our eye as well.
Tiffany and I saw this version of a wedge and looked at each other with our eyebrows cocked. What is up with the cork? We both felt it needed to be punched out, like they forgot to cut it out.
Texture continues to be predominant and snakeskin is still slinking its way onto shoes for Spring. I love this shoe. I have really been drawn to suede lately. Pairing it with python makes me drool.
Another Jessica Simpson heel that we found lustworthy. We like the dove grey with the coral and black. For both us the red patent with cork took our breath away. We even liked that it continued up the back of the shoe.
Unique to this cork heel and platform, colored chips are pressed into it. Those little touches are what make the difference.
I'm really attracted to the unique fabrics like this I have seen cropping up but I'm definitely not crazy about the wedge.
Patent leather with gold on the heel in both red and black. BCBG again and only $60.
Of all the bags I saw, I thought this one the most unique. To me, it looks perfect for going to the beach or even just around town for Summer. I would feel like I was carrying the ocean with me.
Finally, this little wallet. Tiffany and I both loved this. It is the exact kind of print she and I both would love to dig out of our purses any day. Especially if we are extracting it to buy new shoes!
